2015 Equine Canada Convention Set to Host the National Steward Clinic

Equine Canada is pleased to announce the EC sanctioned National Steward Clinic will take place on Mar. 28 during the 2015 Equine Canada National Convention, set for Mar. 25-29 at the Crowne Plaza Gatineau-Ottawa in Gatineau, Que.

The clinic will offer exciting opportunities to work with highly experienced and exceedingly qualified Canadian stewards, and will give participants the chance to learn from the best.

The National Steward Clinic will be hosted by Neil Ratledge, FEI Level 3 Jumper Steward, EC Senior General Steward and EC Senior Dressage Steward. Ratledge is also chair of the EC Stewards Committee, and has been appointed as the FEI Steward at a variety of top competitions, including Canada’s own Spruce Meadows and The Royal Horse Show.

Current EC licensed national or jumper-specific stewards may use this clinic for updating or upgrading purposes. Prospective stewards, coaches and competitors are also welcome to attend, and may list it as part of a future EC steward application. Plus, EC certified instructors and coaches may count this clinic toward three hours of updating.

The National Steward Clinic will be held in English only. Registrants will be provided with all course materials on a flash drive and may bring a laptop computer.

Registration will be available through Equine Canada’s Annual Convention online registration page.

Please note: Participants who are planning to attend the Dressage Steward Clinic on Mar. 29 must also register for and attend this National Steward Clinic in order to receive full credit for updating or upgrading their current steward status. Click HERE to register for the Dressage Steward Clinic.
