Provincial Emergency and Province-wide Stay-at-Home Order

Dear Members of Ontario Equestrian,

As the situation in Ontario with the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve rapidly, we recognize this is a stressful and challenging time for our equestrian community. 

Please be advised: the Ontario Government has declared a second provincial emergency under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act in response to the growing number of COVID-19 cases.

Effective tomorrow: Thursday, January 14 at 12:01 a.m., the Ontario Government is imposing a stay-at-home order requiring Ontarian’s to remain at home, with exceptions for permitted purposes or activities such as going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services, for exercise, or for essential work.

Where, and how long, are the new measures in effect?
The stay-at home order is to be in effect tomorrow Thursday, January 14 at 12:01 a.m. and is anticipated to be in place until at least Thursday, February 11, 2021.

The Government has yet to release any additional details regarding the stay-at-home order and its practical implications. As soon as this information becomes available, we will update the membership.
