The OEF Welcomes New Executive Director, Tracey McCague-McElrea

“I am very pleased to announce Tracey’s appointment as Executive Director of the OEF. Tracey is no stranger to the OEF. She was the consultant hired to assist with the recent reorganization and new strategic direction.  Her enthusiasm, work ethic, knowledge and creativity will enable the OEF to pursue our strategic plan that will serve the equestrian community in a positive new way. I am very excited at the prospect of continuing to work with Tracey,” stated OEF President Mark Nelson.

Tracey has a long career in sport management. She was the Executive Director of Skate Ontario for nine years. She recently was the Senior Director of Business Development at Golf Ontario in charge of marketing, branding, revenue generation and communications. Tracey was also a partner in a very successful event management and marketing company, Carrot Creative.  She is very familiar with the landscape of sport in Ontario and Canada and has been the author of more that $50,000,000 in successful grant applications.   She is a graduate of York University with a BA in kinesiology and a speciality in sport administration.

Born and raise on a dairy farm, Tracey has deep roots in agriculture and has fond memories of her riding lessons with Adele Rockwell at Ardmore Stud in Aurora. Tracey is inspried to lead the OEF in this new exciting direction and looks forward to bringing quality programs and events to the enthusiast membership of the OEF.
