Canadian Endurance Riders Take on the Broxton Bridge Plantation CEI1/2*

Canadian endurance riders, Wendy MacCoubrey, Tracy Vollman and 2014 Alltech World Equestrian Game Canadian Equestrian Team member, Yvette Vinton, finished the CEI1*/CEI2* Broxton Bridge Plantation event in Ehrhardt, S.C. from Jan. 30-31, 2015, with great times.

Taking on the CEI2*, Vollman of Regina, Sask., rode Ra Karim, her 13-year-old Arabian gelding, to a sixth place finish (8:20:30). The 120km trail was groomed with hard and soft sand, and shaded by pines and old growth hardwoods.  Elite endurance rider, Vinton, an Ontario native currently living in Morriston, Fla., finished in seventh riding her 15-year-old Arabian gelding Teese (ZT Ali Baba X Samtyr).

In the CEI1* on Friday, MacCoubrey of Ste. Justine De Newton, Que. , rode the 80km trail aboard Son of a Diamond (Diamonds an Rust X Zetco SX Padraxx), Kelsey Kimbler’s nine-year-old gelding, to a second place finish (6:31). On Saturday’s CEI1*, MacCoubrey shaved three quarters of an hour off her time riding Am Mysterious Mopsa, an eight-year-old Arabian mare owned by Vinton, to fourth place in a time of 5:46:55. Through the finish line only five seconds later, Vollman took her second ride with Alwayz Fame PW, her six-year-old Arabian gelding, to take fifth.
