October 6 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Downtown Abbey comes to Downtown Elora:
Taking place amongst one of Ontario’s most beautiful villages, Elora will host the pomp and circumstance of the Elora Horse and Hound Parade, raising money to give back to Groves Memorial Hospital and the Canadian Cancer Society.
The parade will begin at 1:00pm with a spectacular autumn scenery of the village as the setting for this event. Approximately 25 riders in traditional livery will promenade around downtown Elora with the Eglinton and Caledon Hounds, collecting free-will donations as they go. There are amazing photo opportunities along the way and a chance to say hello to the miniature, cuddly and chubby donation ponies!
The estimated attendance for last year’s parade is 3000 people. To date, the parade has raised more than $45,000 for Groves Memorial Hospital and the Canadian Cancer Society.
In hopes of an even larger presence and an even more generous spirit, let your friends and family know how the horses and happy hounds will take to the streets again this year.
