Ontario Equestrian Federation Welcomes New Board of Directors

Meet your new OEF Board of  Directors!

This year, OEF President Mark Nelson was re-appointed to the Board of Directors and subsequently, by meeting of the Board, nominated to the position of President of the Board.

For those of you who don’t know Mark, we’ve attached his bio here: Mark A Nelson

We also had 2 of our long standing board members leave the OEF Board, and 2 others step in.

We want to thank Allan Ehrlick and Pam Hope for their dedication of many hours of volunteer time and effort to the OEF membership over the years – Allan has been on the OEF Board for many years, taking on the various roles of Association Council Chair, President and Vice President of the Board, and much more.  Pam Hope has been very actively representing the Recreation Council in her time on the OEF Board.

As we say farewell but not goodbye to our departing board members, we also welcome our two new Board Members, Christine Reupke and Wendy Harris.

Both Wendy and Christine are equine enthusiasts, and bring a depth of professional experience to the Board – Christine as a dedicated equestrian professional, overseeing the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Horse Show, and as a nationally carded Official. – Christine Reupke

Wendy Harris, CPA, CA, has an impressive background as the current President and Chief Executive Officer of CESO (Canadian Executive Services Organization) providing economic development, community capacity-building and governance expertise to NGO’s across Canada. – Wendy Harris

“Dear Members,

It is an honour and privilege to join the board of directors of the OEF. From my background as a chartered accountant and leader of an international NGO, I look forward to supporting the implementation of our new strategic plan. It is an exciting time to be part of this dynamic organization.

As a fellow horse enthusiast, I look forward to engaging our stakeholders in building the profile of this great sport in Canada.

I hope to meet many of you in the coming months.”

– Wendy Harris
