Canadian para-equestrian rider Jody Schloss was recently honoured with an invitation to be a torchbearer for the TORONTO 2015 Parapan Am Torch Relay-which will be a five-day relay held Aug. 3-7, kicking off in Ottawa and finishing in Toronto. “I’m continuously surprised by how many fortunate opportunities I have because of my love for my horses,” said Schloss, who represented Canada at the 2012 London Paralympics. Schloss will carry the Parapan Am flame with pride on August 6 in Toronto, making her part of the largest torch relay ever held for a Parapan Am Games. The torch relay will reach its final destination during the Opening Ceremony of the TORONTO 2015 Parapan Am Games on August 7.
