I wanted to be on the GRIT Team to experience what it feels like to be a part of an equestrian team that pushes each other to grow and supports each other, as well as to have the opportunity to learn from the very top professionals of the sport to keep growing as a rider and aspiring professional. I'm hoping to gain better riding and competition skills, physical and mental strength, a toolbox to help me be a better athlete, a support system within Ontario Equestrian and new friendships. I'm looking forward the most to the training camps to experience some intensive learning and to meet everybody, as well as starting to work more systematically on my nutrition and fitness out of the saddle.
