For two centuries, the Freedman name has been synonymous with quality harness and leather goods and now the Toronto-based company has teamed up with the Ontario Equestrian Federation to create a leather belt that’s as stylish on the street as it is in the barn.
“Horses are a lifestyle and equestrians like to convey that commitment to others,” says Dianne Graham, executive director of the OEF. “We wanted to create something that our members could wear proudly to showcase their commitment to the sport. With the help of one of the world’s premier harness makers, we have created a beautiful belt that accomplishes exactly that.”
The Ontario Equestrian Federation is pleased to offer its members a high quality belt that is crafted at the Freedman Harness shop in Toronto. Made from medium brown English bridle leather, the belt features a gold embossed OEF logo on the belt keeper. Hand cut and hand finished with a solid brass roller buckle, this 1 ¼” wide belt is a must-have for every equestrian.

David Freedman is a sixth-generation harness maker who has devoted his life to carrying on a tradition that has slowly been disappearing since the advent of the automobile. From his workshop in Toronto, he has continued on the family business that started with his great-great-great grandfather, who made harnesses for the czars in Warsaw over 200 years ago.
