Kaitlin has spent the past four years developing her 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding, Fergus, progressing through the levels of dressage under the guidance of her coach, Melanie Thomson. Her dedication has led her to the FEI Junior level, with the goal of qualifying for the North American Youth Championships (NAYC). In addition to her training, Kaitlin excels academically, plans strategically for winter training in Florida, and is expanding her equine knowledge through first aid courses and coaching certifications. She also runs a small business to help fund her equestrian goals. Kaitlin’s determination and ability to balance her commitments make her a deserving candidate for the bursary, which will help her continue her training and competitive journey.
