Last Day in London

Ok Ok it’s 1 am in the morning and everyone is wondering about todays blog…so here you go!

I am going to miss London and the Olympics, but not their weather or their toilets! The only day they called for rain and there was not a drop!!! Yippie!!! The buzz in Greenwich park today was unbelievable, not to mention everyone dressed in their countries colours! The Spruce Meadows group definitely won! Some of the horses were clearly tired from a long 4 days of jumping MOUNTAINS!

It does not get any better than today.  Riders and horses at the top of their game! I am sure you already know the results! Canada did not get an individual medal, but Ian is already planning his strategy for Rio! As usual we all met down at the Crown and Rose Pub where all the Canadian fans and riders have made home for the week. Ian and Eric were very pleased with their horses and so they should be! You are all going to love the pictures, but you have to wait until I get home. The cool thing about our pub was that all the other riders had to pass by, most of them stopping in for a hello! How cool! Someone gave Ian a giant size chocolate gold medal!!!  LOL To be this close to the action is what makes it all worth while! Congrats to the Swiss, Netherlands and Ireland, you gave us an AMAZING show! Eric showed up to the pub with his Olympic duffle bag on wheels full of hats and clothing for me! Sorry for the hotel maid, he usually leaves it all for her! I wish I had known about this surprise before I dropped a mere fortune on souvenirs at the venue! LOL Did I mention I had the time of my life!

I sported my Hickstead scarf today, which drew a lot of attention. I will never forget you Hickstead! 4 years ago today you won the GOLD for us!!! Thank you!!! XO
